Centac Systems Limited — Last updated 30 May 2026. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. We are registered in Uganda and primarily serve connectivity markets across Africa.

Centro Access is a connectivity operations platform that connects infrastructure owners, network providers, and end customers across the telecom delivery chain. We operate the Centro Access platform, including the coverage search, Lync provider integration, and service request tools available at our website.

For the purposes of data protection law, Centac Systems Limited is the Data Controller — the organisation responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is processed.

2. What Data We Collect

When you search for coverage

  • Location data you enter into the search bar (address, suburb, or coordinates)

When you submit a service request or RFQ

  • Full name
  • National ID or Passport number (optional)
  • Primary and secondary phone number
  • Email address
  • Business name and contact person name (SME and Enterprise requests)
  • Installation or site address
  • Service preferences and technical requirements

When you verify your identity

  • Email address or phone number used for one-time password (OTP) verification

When you visit our website

  • Browser and device information
  • Usage data collected through cookies and local storage (see Section 7)

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and, where applicable, the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Where we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

  • Forward your service request or RFQ to the provider you selected
  • Verify your identity before submitting a request
  • Communicate with you about the status of your request
  • Send you service updates, coverage announcements, and offers from Centro Access and our provider network — only if you have opted in
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our platform
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

Network and Service Providers

When you submit a service request, your contact details and request information are shared with the provider you selected so they can respond to your enquiry. By submitting a request, you acknowledge and agree to this transfer.

In cases where a provider has chosen to remain hidden in our search results, Centro Access routes the enquiry on their behalf without disclosing the provider's identity to you.

Centro Access Platform Partners

We work with third-party services to operate our platform (hosting, email delivery, security). These parties process data only on our instruction and are bound by data processing agreements.

Legal Authorities

We may disclose your data where required by law, court order, or regulatory obligation. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Provider Coverage Data

Network providers that connect to Centro Access via our Lync integration share their coverage polygon data with us. This data is used solely to power the coverage search and does not include personal data about end users.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to remember your consent preferences and maintain your session and search state during your visit.

Essential storage is necessary for the site to function and does not require your consent. Non-essential storage (including analytics) is only activated after you accept via the cookie banner.

8. Marketing Communications

If you have opted in to marketing when submitting a service request, Centro Access may contact you with:

  • Coverage expansion announcements relevant to your area
  • New provider availability and service offers
  • Platform updates and feature announcements

You can opt out at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email we send, or by contacting us at privacy@centroaccess.com. Opting out does not affect the processing of your service request.

Centro Access is headquartered in Uganda and primarily serves markets across Africa. Where your data is transferred outside your country of residence, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions recognised under applicable data protection law.

11. How We Protect Your Data

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
  • Access controls limiting who within Centro Access can view personal data
  • OTP verification before request submission
  • Regular review of our security practices

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@centroaccess.com.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@centroaccess.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda or your national data protection authority.

13. Children

Our platform is intended for use by individuals and businesses in a professional or commercial context. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the changes are significant, notify you by email or a prominent notice on the website.
