1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferences or session state — so the site can work correctly and provide a consistent experience.
Browser local storage is a similar mechanism built into modern web browsers. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server automatically; it is stored entirely on your device and read by the site's scripts. We use local storage (rather than traditional cookies) for most of our preference storage because it is more efficient and does not generate network traffic.
When we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we mean both traditional cookies and local storage data unless stated otherwise.
2. What We Use
The Centro Access website currently uses the following storage mechanisms:

We do not currently use traditional HTTP cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cross-site advertising technologies.
3. Essential vs Non-Essential Storage
Essential storage
Storage that is strictly necessary for the website to function is classified as essential. This includes the ca_cookie_consent preference record and any in-page session state needed to run the coverage search and service request forms. Essential storage does not require your consent under applicable data protection law.
Non-essential storage
If in the future we introduce analytics, performance monitoring, or personalisation features that use storage beyond what is strictly necessary, we will update this policy and request your consent before activating them. At this time, no non-essential storage is in use.
4. Third-Party Technologies
The Centro Access website does not currently embed third-party scripts, fonts, pixels, or widgets (such as social media buttons, analytics platforms, or advertising networks) that would set their own cookies on your device.
5. Your Consent and the Cookie Banner
When you first visit the Centro Access website, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen explaining our use of cookies and local storage. You can:
- Accept All — confirms your consent. We record this in local storage so the banner does not reappear.
- Decline — records your preference without activating any non-essential storage. The essential
ca_cookie_consentvalue is still written so the banner does not reappear.
Your consent choice is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the following methods:
Clear local storage in your browser
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Select "Cookies and other site data" → Clear data
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → Remove All Website Data
After clearing your storage, the consent banner will reappear on your next visit to the Centro Access website.
Browser-level cookie controls
Most modern browsers allow you to block or restrict cookies and local storage for individual websites through their privacy or security settings. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your version.
7. Changes to This Policy
As the Centro Access platform evolves, we may introduce new technologies that require us to update this Cookie Policy. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material — for example, if we introduce third-party analytics or advertising storage — we will display a new consent banner so you can review and confirm your preferences.
